How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine the programme with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is ROS 2 with MoveIt 2, Gazebo, ABB RobotStudio, MATLAB Robotics System Toolbox, Beckhoff TwinCAT 3, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real cooperative handling procedures for bulky parts, dual-arm wire harness assembly and axis synchronisation on packaging machines. Assessment is continuous across each module, plus the final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Model the kinematics and dynamics of dual-arm robotic systems.
Analyse internal forces when manipulating shared objects.
Design master-slave and symmetric coordination schemes.
Synchronise axes and manipulators using deterministic buses.
Plan bimanual movements under closed-chain constraints.

Frequently asked questions
The programme totals 800 hours, spread over 6 to 8 months. That averages between 10 and 15 hours a week, compatible with a full-time job.
You will work with ROS 2 with MoveIt 2, Gazebo, ABB RobotStudio, MATLAB Robotics System Toolbox, Beckhoff TwinCAT 3. Free, academic or evaluation versions are used, and the tutor will indicate the open-source alternative where one exists.
A SEIUM own diploma upon passing the continuous assessment and the integrative project. This is in-house training, not an official qualification from the Ministry.
Yes. Modules passed in a course or diploma in the same area are credited towards the advanced programme. Please check the credit transfer policy when you enrol.
