Naval Project Financing Course

The Naval Project Financing Course provides a comprehensive overview of the essential financial strategies for developing and delivering projects in the maritime sector. It covers key topics such as feasibility analysis, financing structuring, and risk management associated with the construction and operation of vessels, shipyards and maritime infrastructure, including naval leasing and the assessment of innovative business models in the maritime field.

The course focuses on investment appraisal tools, the handling of financial instruments specific to the sector, and understanding of capital markets and naval credit. It offers practical knowledge for preparing financial projections and negotiating with financial institutions, enabling participants to optimise the profitability and sustainability of complex naval projects, while complying with maritime legislation and international safety and sustainability standards.

How you'll learn

100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, making it possible to combine the course with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is NAPA, Maxsurf, Rhino + Orca3D, ShipConstructor, ANSYS AQWA, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real procedures from towing tanks, cavitation tunnels and propulsion test rigs. Assessment is continuous across each module, plus the final integrative project.

Accreditable laboratories(EN ISO/IEC 17025) with rotor rig, EMC/Lightning pre-compliance, HIL/SIL, vibration/acoustics.
Evidence-driven final project:safety case, test plan, compliance dossier and operational limits.
Industry mentoring:faculty with experience in training, , eVTOL/UAM and flight test.
Flexible format(hybrid/online), international cohorts and support from SEIUM Career Services.
Ethics and safety:a safety-by-design approach, with cyber-OT, DIH and compliance as its pillars.
