Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, so the programme can be combined with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is PX4 Autopilot, ArduPilot, ROS 2, Gazebo and MATLAB/Simulink, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Practical work is based on real procedures for hardware-in-the-loop simulation of autopilots, flight campaigns and field navigation, and environmental testing of platforms. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947, Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/945, STANAG 4671, STANAG 4586, RTCA DO-178C, ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, MIL-STD-810H, JARUS SORA.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947, Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/945 and STANAG 4671 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:PX4 Autopilot, ArduPilot, ROS 2, Gazebo and MATLAB/Simulink, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:The design of an unmanned system, from requirements and conceptual architecture to detailed subsystem design, simulation, V&V plan and regulatory and cost analysis, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
