Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, making it compatible with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is SolidWorks, Ansys Mechanical, Simcenter Testlab, SAP Business One and Shopify, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Practical work is based on real procedures: type-approval of a replacement exhaust for a Euro 5 motorcycle, testing of replacement brake pads to UNECE Regulation No. 90 and design and validation of a luggage rack. Assessment is continuous by module plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: Regulation (EU) 168/2013, Delegated Regulation (EU) 3/2014, UNECE Regulation No. 41, UNECE Regulation No. 92, UNECE Regulation No. 90, Royal Decree 866/2010, Delegated Regulation (EU) 44/2014, Directive 2001/95/EC.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of Regulation (EU) 168/2013, Delegated Regulation (EU) 3/2014 and UNECE Regulations No. 41, No. 90 and No. 92 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:SolidWorks, Ansys Mechanical, Simcenter Testlab, SAP Business One and Shopify, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:the development and type-approval of a motorcycle accessory, from regulatory analysis and design to the test plan, approval file and commercial plan, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
