How you'll learn
Training is 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so the programme can be combined with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Abaqus, MSC Nastran, Actran (Hexagon), MATLAB and Bellhop (Acoustics Toolbox), in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures for pressure hull collapse analysis, noise transfer path analysis and radiated noise measurement. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final Master's Thesis.
Standards covered: ISO 17208-1, DNV rules for submarines and submersibles, ANEP-77, ISO 18405, MIL-DTL-901E, MIL-STD-167-1A, Directive 2008/56/EC.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
