Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

The programme is delivered 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable materials, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so the programme fits around your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standards and applied exercises. The working software is Niagara Framework, Desigo CC, EnergyPlus and Python, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Practical work is based on real procedures: SRI assessments of real buildings, protocol integration on automation test benches and analysis of energy monitoring data. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: Directive (EU) 2024/1275, EN ISO 52120-1:2022, ISO 16484-5, ISO/IEC 14543-3, EN 16798-1:2019, ISO 50001:2018, Royal Decree 1027/2007 (RITE), Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/2155.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of Directive (EU) 2024/1275, EN ISO 52120-1:2022 and ISO 16484-5 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Niagara Framework, Desigo CC, EnergyPlus and Python, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:A smart building project covering an audit, SRI assessment, BEMS architecture, control strategies, cybersecurity and economic analysis, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
