Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable materials, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, so the programme can be combined with full-time work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is MATLAB/Simulink, GT-SUITE, AVL CRUISE M, Vector CANape and dSPACE TargetLink, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Practical work is based on real procedures: fuel consumption tests on a chassis dynamometer, emissions measurement during intermittent starts, and HIL validation of the supervisor. Assessment is continuous for each module, plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: VDA 320, Regulation (EU) 2017/1151 (WLTP), Regulation (EU) 2019/631, Regulation (EU) 2024/1257 (Euro 7), ISO 21780, ISO 26262, ISO 16750-2, UN ECE R101.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of VDA 320, Regulation (EU) 2017/1151 (WLTP) and Regulation (EU) 2019/631 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:MATLAB/Simulink, GT-SUITE, AVL CRUISE M, Vector CANape and dSPACE TargetLink, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:a micro-hybridisation project for a vehicle, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
