Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

The programme is delivered 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so you can combine it with your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Materialise Magics, Ansys Additive, nTop, Altair Inspire and Volume Graphics VGSTUDIO MAX, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures for design for additive manufacturing and topology optimisation, simulation of powder bed fusion processes, and part qualification with tomography and mechanical testing. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: ISO/ASTM 52900; ASTM F3302; AWS D20.1; NASA-STD-6030; ISO/ASTM 52920; EN 9100:2018; Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX).

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of ISO/ASTM 52900, ASTM F3302 and AWS D20.1 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Materialise Magics, Ansys Additive, nTop, Altair Inspire and Volume Graphics VGSTUDIO MAX, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:The redesign of a part for additive manufacturing, with process simulation, post-processing and qualification plan, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
