Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

A 100% online programme on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable materials, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so the programme is compatible with full-time work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is X-Rite Pantora, KeyShot, Ansys Granta Selector, SimaPro and Adobe Substance 3D, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures: colour approval in a light booth and with a spectrophotometer, ageing, scratch and abrasion tests, and evaluation of samples with user panels. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: ISO 14040:2006, ISO 14044:2006, Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH), Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS), ISO 4892-2, ISO 12947-2, ISO 2409 and ISO/CIE 11664-4.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of ISO 14040, ISO 14044 and REACH applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:X-Rite Pantora, KeyShot, Ansys Granta Selector, SimaPro and Adobe Substance 3D, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:a complete CMF proposal for a product, from trend research and material exploration to colour and finish proposal, sustainability analysis, physical samples and technical validation, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
