Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

The programme is delivered 100% online on SEIUM's campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so it fits around your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is VECTO, AVL CONCERTO, HORIBA STARS, ETAS INCA and MATLAB, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures: WLTP chassis dynamometer tests, RDE trips with PEMS equipment and evaporative tests in a SHED chamber. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: Regulation (EU) 2017/1151, UN GTR 15, 13 CCR 1968.2, Regulation (EU) 2024/1257, Regulation (EU) 2019/1242, Regulation (EU) 540/2014, 40 CFR Part 86, UN Regulation No. 51.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of Regulation (EU) 2017/1151, UN GTR 15 and 13 CCR 1968.2 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:VECTO, AVL CONCERTO, HORIBA STARS, ETAS INCA and MATLAB, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:An integrated multi-region emissions and noise compliance plan for a vehicle or engine, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
