How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so you can combine it with your job.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink with Simscape Electrical and RTDS, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures for voltage dip testing of inverters, compliance simulation at the connection point and field verification of reactive capability. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final project.
Standards covered: Regulation (EU) 2016/631, EN 50549-1, EN 50549-2, IEC 61400-21-1, IEC 61400-27-1, Regulation (EU) 2016/1388, IEEE 2800-2022, IEC 62116.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
