Agricultural Machinery Course: Modern Tractors

The Precision Agriculture with Drones Course trains participants in the use of drones and remote sensors to optimise agricultural management. It explores remote sensing, geospatial data analysis and 3D modelling techniques to monitor crops, detect problems such as pests or water stress, and apply fertilisers and pesticides accurately. It covers flight planning, image processing and specialised software for data interpretation, aiming to improve agricultural productivity and sustainability.

The course includes practical training in the use of drones for crop mapping, plant health assessment and application of inputs. It covers compliance with current legislation on drone use and safety in aerial operations. Participants learn to generate yield maps, vegetation indices and digital terrain models, for informed decision-making in the field.

Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake period, which makes it possible to combine study with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is John Deere Operations Center, Trimble Ag Software, AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool, Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real electronic diagnosis procedures with workshop tools, guidance and ISOBUS terminal configuration, and consumption and performance analysis. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final integrative project.

Accreditable laboratories(EN ISO/IEC 17025) with dynamometer bench, EMC/Lightning pre-compliance, HIL/SIL, vibration/acoustics.
Evidence-oriented Master's Thesis:safety case, test plan, compliance dossier and operational limits.
Industry mentoring:lecturers with experience in la formacion, , eVTOL/UAM and flight test.
Flexible format(hybrid/online), international cohorts and support from SEIUM Career Services.
Ethics and safety:a safety-by-design approach, with OT cybersecurity, DIH and compliance as its pillars.
