SEIUM

At SEIUM, we offer four study modes designed for different profiles and time zones, without compromising what matters: technical rigour, access to laboratories (on-site and remote), work with real data, and evidence-based assessment. All modes share the same academic standard, differing only in pace, interaction format, and on-campus requirements.

,

Live online (synchronous)

  • Who it is for: professionals who want real-time interaction with faculty and international cohorts.
  • Format: sesiones video-conference sessions (Zoom/Teams) across EU/AMER/APAC time windows, technical discussions, live coding, design reviews, and live-guided remote laboratories (HIL/SIL/CFD/HPC).ecto.
  • Live classes 1–3 times per week per module (recorded and uploaded to the LMS)

  • Weekly office hours with faculty and lab “clinics”

  • Access to remote test benches: instrumented rigs, emulators, digital twins, and plant/track datasets

  • Assessment through design reviews, compliance checklists, short technical reports, and an applied capstone

  • Immediate feedback, international networking, team dynamics, and simulation of real engineering environments.
  • Ideal for courses in control, dynamics, RAMS, MLOps, regulation, and certification.

  • Stable connectivity (≥25 Mbps), camera, and microphone

  • Availability in at least one time window for your region

Live online engineering master’s programme, synchronous classes, real-time remote laboratories, interactive technical training.

SEIUM technical competitions

Talent is proven through competition.

SEIUM competitions are where knowledge is tested in real-world scenarios. From electric vehicle design to flight simulation or energy analysis, each competition combines technical rigour, creativity, and collaborative innovation.

SEIUM Motorsport Design Cup

An international competition for the design and simulation of electric single-seater race cars. Includes Undergraduate, Master’s, and Research categories. Organised in partnership with the MotorSport Institute (SMI).

AeroAI Challenge

An aerospace engineering and autonomous control challenge for drones, tiltrotors, and UAVs. Assessed in simulated environments and on HIL/SIL test benches.

Robotics & Automation Contest (SRA-SEIUM)

Competition focused on developing collaborative robots and AMRs for Industry 4.0 applications.

Energy Systems Innovation Challenge (SEN-SEIUM)

Energy optimisation projects in hybrid microgrids (solar + H₂ + storage).

NavalX Design Challenge (SNO-SEIUM)

An international competition in offshore structural design, propulsion, and naval sustainability.

“Las competiciones SEIUM son el punto de encuentro donde la ingeniería se convierte en desafío, y el desafío en aprendizaje.”

Hybrid (blended)

Who it is for: those who value the in-person experience in laboratories and networking but require online continuity.
Format: online modules (synchronous/asynchronous) + intensive on-campus weeks (bootcamps) at SEIUM campuses/hubs.

  • Online theory and simulation.

  • Instrumented practical sessions on site:Wind tunnel, 7-post rig, EMC pre-compliance, Composites, AIT

  • Design sprints with guest companies and executive reviews (gate reviews).

  • Continuous access to the Digital Twin Campus before and after the bootcamp.

  • The best of both worlds: laboratory immersion plus online continuity.

  • High employability through exposure to real equipment and facilities, and by working on industry challenges.

  • Attendance of 1–3 in-person weeks per term (depending on the programme).

  • Visa and travel arrangements where applicable (see the Visa & Residence section).

Hybrid engineering master’s programme, technical bootcamps, blended learning with laboratories.

Intensive on-campus (in-person)

Who it is for: those seeking a full campus experience with continuous access to facilities, mentors, and events.
Format: on-campus classes and practicals (Madrid or other hubs), laboratory projects, and daily activities with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Extended to labs and maker spaces, metrology equipment, rigs and test benches.

  • Capstones with a company/public administration and participation in technical fairs and certifiable tests.

  • Student life activities (Motorsport, Drones, Naval, SimRacing clubs, etc.) and career services.

  • Maximum hands-on intensity, networking, and a workshop culture.

  • Ideal for design, testing, integration, prototyping, and validation.

  • On-site availability; possible campus residence/housing.

  • Compliance with HSE/PSM protocols and safety training.
