How you'll learn
100% online study on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so the programme fits around your job.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original regulations and applied exercises. The working software is Microsoft Excel, Python with pandas, DNV Veracity and GREET, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Practical work is based on real procedures: calculating EU ETS and FuelEU compliance costs, comparing fuels with well-to-wake analysis and drawing up a decarbonisation roadmap. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus the final project.
Standards covered: MARPOL Annex VI; IMO Resolution MEPC.377(80) 2023 GHG Strategy; IMO Resolution MEPC.376(80) Life Cycle Guidelines; Directive (EU) 2023/959 on EU ETS; Regulation (EU) 2023/1805 FuelEU Maritime; Regulation (EU) 2023/1804 AFIR; IGF Code; Regulation (EU) 2015/757 on MRV.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
