How you'll learn
100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake period, making it compatible with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is PowerFactory, PSS/E, Wireshark, Ignition SCADA, pandapower, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Practical work is based on real procedures for configuring a SCADA database, state estimation on a test network, and N-1 contingency analysis. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Understand the architecture of SCADA and EMS systems.
Analyse the telecontrol protocols used in electrical networks.
Configure acquisition, alarm and telecommand functions.
Apply state estimation and contingency analysis.
Interpret CIM-based network models.
